and so I remember the old times.

Remember when we first started hanging out when we were 11, and it was much fun. We would sneak to the back of the computer lab with all our recess food in our pockets and eat there. Then there were the times we fought, which was a lot of times no? hahah. I found a poem the other day, one that we wrote for you when we had one of those fights. I remember you giving me the best friend speech. You said that in your whole life you never really had a best friend and that you thought of me as your best friend. And you definitely were my best friend <3 We used to sit outside school together while you waited for your transport (the blue van, I remember !) and I waited for my kongkong. We would take turns everyday to buy ice cream and share. hahah. A dollar everyday, and one the days we wanted to eat Apple Sourz, we would split the cost, half half. Apple Sourz is still one of my favourite ice cream (: Other times I remember, playing truth or dare with the gang, getting caught up in one of Cikgu Jamil's lectures. You almost getting in trouble because of some prefect teacher thing, I don't know if you remember that. It was some teacher that went ballistic and you said that she was crazy and she heard it. hahahah. Even I can't believe I remember that.

Just because we're not in the same school and we don't see each other anymore, doesn't mean we'll leave all this behind right? (:

I cleaned my room today. Okay, I cleaned two of the hundreds of shelves in my room. My brother was complaining about having to clean the floor in my room because there was a table and a chair and a pack of tissue on the the floor, to which I got annoyed and told him he didn't have to clean my room at all then. Now, I have to do it.

Everything is dusty and dirty and messy. When I wiped the shelves today, I finally had the sense to put my little things like hair accessories and make up into boxes so that things wouldn't be all over the place and cleaning would be way way way easier (I hope). I called my mummy because I was so excited and I told her all about the boxes on my shelves and how now, my shelves looks so empty, all the little things put together into one box each. And how boxed up my room looks now because well, I have two boxes of beanies, a big box of I-don't-know-whats and a box slash stool in my room. I have a box room. Still, having my window face the road is not a good thing at all. I clean my room, wipe everything clean, get a crazy flu, sweat bullets, have my hair stuck on my face mouth nose hand feet and then feel so happy about myself, for what?

Because anyway, after five seconds flat, my room will once again be dusty and dirty and messy.

Sigh.

I bought it for you for your birthday, back when you were crazy about stars.

I remember seeing it in the shop months before your birthday and I saw the stars and I really wanted to get it for you. I actually saved my money, RM15.90 to buy this for you. How great of a sister am I? Hahah. You wore it after I gave it to you and one day, it broke. It probably made me sad to see it broken than it did for you, hahah. Anyway, it was an easy fix kinda thing, and because the money for it came out of my own pocket, I fixed it up for you. I remember buying it for you in Summit, in whatever department store that used to be there, and I was with Aunty Lilia. It was probably one of the moments that made me really happy, after I purchased it (:

Remember going to Malacca ALL the time and every single visit there (or anywhere for that matter), you would buy me something small. Like, paper dolls, which you would play with me, naming the doll, changing the outfit, the hair, laughing at their undergarments. Abandoning my Barbie dolls then. Hahah.

1. Heng Jean Anne. Because she doesn't know anyone I do and I don't know anyone she does, therefore even if we accidentally spill each other's secrets, it wouldn't be such a big deal.

This is Jean.

And this is a hate post about her.

There are no reasons for me to not hate her. We met back in 2005, I think, at a funeral parlour of all places. She talked so much that day and made us all laugh at a wake service, how inappropriate.

We became friends after that. Our dad's were best friends back in high school and we pretty much think it's our job to continue that.uhm.legacy.

She's so skinny. SO SKINNY. Like, model skinny. And she's pretty. On the outside and in the inside. She has a heart so caring, I always feel better after listening to her.

She's not just skinny and pretty and wonderful, she's smart and talented too. Like, straight A student. Head prefect. THIS close to being the editor of her school magazine, but the teacher's said she won't be able to handle the load of work. I personally think she can. We are women. We can multi task. Jean is even better. Superwoman. She can do almost everything. I hate you, Heng Jean Anne.

You can draw, you can write, you can do debates, you've won multiple awards, you're skinny ohgosh, you're SO skinny and. You can play the guitar and piano and heck, you can play the piano really well. And sing Never Alone to me, and sing whatever you feel like singing to me when I'm crying because it makes me feel better.

YEAH.

This is suppose to be a hate post. Hahahah.

I hate you because you have three pairs of Converse. But they aren't as awesome as the one pair that I have.

The last time I saw Jean, she gave me her regular school name tag, the one's you sew onto your uniform. Then she showed me her new name tag, the HEAD PREFECT HENG JEAN ANNE name tag and said, "I don't need that one anymore hehehehehehehe." Show off. hahah.

I forgot to mention your amazing photography skills. So really, who wouldn't be jealous?

Day 7: Four memories you won’t forget.

1. At one time, my daddy was hunting about for the phone he wanted at that time, and like anyone else, we would go look at it a few times, see if we like it, look for places with the lowest price. In a week, my daddy took me to Pyramid about three or four times in a row. He would leave me in MPH to read whatever while he goes to check out his phone. When I was younger, my daddy never allowed us to read fashion magazines or gossip magazines and stuff like that because of the influences we get from there. So when my daddy left me in MPH, I grabbed about three different magazines and hid right at the back of the store. Too bad I was too into my magazine to realize daddy coming. Hahahah.

2. Playing hide and seek at night in Cameron Highlands. We would take a walk by the hops at night while we were on holiday in Cameron Highlands. Then we'll go to the playground, all dark only a small part lit up by the lamp post. Pretty cool for hide and seek. My daddy, sister, brother and me would play together. Then once, when it was my daddy's turn to play seek, I went off to look for a place to hide but couldn't find one, so my mummy hid me under a pile of jackets between my aunty and her. It was so fun, I'm usually the one they find first because I'm afraid of the dark and I can't run fast. So everyone had taken off their jackets at that time and I used to be skinny and small, hahah. I kinda just balled up myself and my mummy covered me with the jackets and after my daddy had found my sister and brother, they were all going about wondering where I am. I won that game. For the first time. And only time I think.

3. When we were younger, my sister and me (and my brother sometimes) would play a game while lying in bed at night, supposedly asleep. I don't know who made up the game, okay, it's not even a game, but I don't know who made it up but it stuck for a very long time. Someone would say, "There's a robber coming, stick together !" then we'll shout. Just shout. And we'll do it a few times and it'll be so funny because in the end, we'll just be shouting. Then either mummy or daddy would come into the room because they're wondering if there's something wrong. hahah.

4. Once, my whole family went to Genting Highlands, when I was really young, maybe 8 or 9? My brother and me walked out of our hotel room to go look for something or take a walk while everyone was getting ready to go out. Then, when we decided to head back, we couldn't find our room. We actually rang the doorbells of the rooms we thought were our, and then someone else would appear at the door. I got scared. I started clinging on to my brother, whining for him to find our room and he put on a brave face, told me not to worry we'll find it. There was an unlocked door. We pushed it open. There was a lady putting on her makeup and she stared at us. I was almost in tears, I kept telling my brother that he should ask someone ask someone but he didn't want to, so when a janitor or somebody working in the hotel passed by, I asked him to help us look for our room. He walked us a little and rand the doorbell and poof, my aunty was there. Clever hotel worker. Thank you so much.

Do you mean window shopping or like shopping, buy something shopping?

1. Dorothy Perkins. They have pretty dresses and pretty tops but they're expensive so if you're smart, shop during the sale. Who isn't smart enough to do that?

2. Adidas. White tennis skirts are over-rated. Black tennis skirts are the ultimate awesome blablabla.

3. Forever 21. Online. Because the prices in US dollar is so much more cheaper.

4. Cotton On. My mum doesn't like Cotton On, she says a lot of things about their clothes but we all agree that lots of them are cute. But Cotton On is becoming over-rated, everyone shops at Cotton On, therefore everyone goes around with the same bluegreenpink skirt. It's annoying. hahah.

5. Aldo. SHOES. To die for.

6. Flea markets. Bargains, bargains.

7. H&M, Suzy Shier, Old Navy, Urban Planet, Garage. I hate that Malaysia doesn't have these shops.

Day 3: Eight things that annoy you.

1. Having to repeat myself more than two times.

2. People who assume things. It totally annoys me so much when they do, and then they blame you or somebody else because this is what they thought happened.

3. When people tell you they will do something and not do it. Or when they say they'll be here at this time and then don't appear or call in five minutes before saying they'll be an hour late. Something like that.

4. When I try and try so hard but I still can't get things right. More frustration that annoying, but yeah.

5. My laptop connection which goes off whenever it feels like going off and it's nothing to do with the Internet whatever, it's just the laptop.

6. Because my laptop is so small, I cannot enlarge the page on Roiworld. Because it only works with some number widthlenghthheight thing.

7. When I'm sleeping and people choose that exact moment to either call me or text me which will wake me up and then not able to fall back asleep.

2. Wake up in the middle of the night. Morning. To, I don't know why I wake up actually. I just do. Then I'll check the time. And then I'll go pee if I'm not too lazy.

4. Daydream about my wedding in 10 years time. Less than 10 years. I hope.

5. Stare into space. Stone. Look right through the board in school, and right through the wall at home.

Yeah.

1. I feel kinda embarrassed playing with other people's babies, trying to make them smile, carrying them and such around their parents because I feel like the parent is probably thinking, "What is she doing to my baby?" but I think if you would give me the baby, put me in a room, I probably would do whatever and look stupid just to make the baby smile.

2. I like babies. Someday, I'm going to have a baby of my own. And I'll be able to spoil my baby and make the funniest and stupidest faces but no one can judge me because I'm the mother. Yeah. My baby is going to have big eyes. Unlike me.

3. I am afraid of the dark. I am sixteen going on seventeen.

4. I dislike cooking. More than anything.

5. Mushrooms and pepper are my obsessions.

6. So, how old were you when you gave up your Barbie Dolls? I'm sixteen and I haven't given mine up yet. I have 6 Barbie Dolls and I'm proud of them and my mummy bought my sixth one when I was fifteen. Thank you, mummy. I LOVE YOU.

7. I'll feel extremely uncomfortable if I don not brush my teeth take a bath wash my face before I go out. And in that order.

8. I have a knack for tank tops. I have no idea why. Sometimes, most of the time, I don't even look good in them but I always look out for pretty tank top anyway.

but i guess that’s the case with anything we truly love. the effect of it, him, or her is so dizzying, so thick and potent- it can make us feel like we can freaking fly, or like we can never ever get up again.. the passion that we feel for it is like a fire that can fill us so completely with scorching bliss or consume us in its flames entirely, until no part of us is left. and we happily burn and burn.

and why? for what reason do we generously indulge ourselves in something that can, at any given moment, make us so angry, insecure, and most of all, causes us to sacrifice so many other things, including the simplicity our life would possess if this thing were non-existent?

i know why i do it. because without it, if i was completely void of this flame, this passion, i would die of the cold. the coldness of an empty soul that would never know what the warmth of art feels like, the pretty colors flowing through our veins, our magic lips and tongues, our blessed feet, the ability to communicate what lies in the depths of our souls through art forms that only our God Almighty could have put in our hands. there is something so dangerous about being an artist, so vulnerable and frightening. but what an indescribable feeling it is getting lost in it, and realizing that at that moment nothing else matters. and all of those silly little sayings about LOVE are suddenly more than just sayings, they're real and they express everything that's true in that moment.

so failure comes. so what? its not worth it to fall so far. fuel yourself, allow your loved ones to help you push forward. nurture those talents, cherish your art, because through it you will understand yourself and have the ability to help others do the same.

So maybe I shouldn't give up just yet?

It's December already.

And we all wish we could be with you, sister !

So that we can all be sour puss and not play with the snow because we don't want to be jakuns. Then Mummy will get excited and wonder over and over again why we aren't excited about now because we haven't seen REAL snow before, have we? She'll make us stand outside in the very very very cold weather without out jackets and tell us over and over again how nice it is while you whine about how cold it is. We'll have crazy shopping trips and visit our favourite store for about an hour while Peter stands outside sulks then complains to all our uncles about how nuts we are about La Senza. We'll also go charm all the uncle and aunties because we would refuse to call them by their first name without adding 'uncle' or 'aunty' in front (did you get that?) Then, we'll buy lots of Sidekicks because it's so cheap, we'll drink lot of Iced Caps and have Timmy's subs for breakfast everyday ! We'll buy Mummy's Christmas present, only for her to find out that it was cheaper after Christmas, so we'll play along with her to return the shoes to get them at a cheaper price. We'll be Asians and take a stack of napkins from the restaurant, or a few mints instead of one. We could fake my birthday again to get that very very yummy chocolate whatever with ice-cream, we could eat onion rings until we die or Korean potatoes till we're so fat and happy.

I definitely wish we could all be together for Christmas.

Mummyyyy !

My mummy is the best in the world because she would sleep with me while I'm having food poisoning and through out the night watch me running in and out of the toilet. YEAH.
She would get me anything I want in order for me to get better.
She would tell her boss that her problematic child at home needs to see the doctor AGAIN, so therefore, she needs to leave early. AGAIN.

I woke up today, called her and said I want to drink watermelon juice so she promised she would buy a watermelon for me when she comes home. YAY ! Because I had a dream last night about wonderful watermelon juice. And coconut juice. Chilled watermelon and coconut juice. yumm.

My stomach keeps churning and churning and churning and I crave for 100 Plus, so I pour myself a big mug of 100 Plus and it only makes the churning worse ):
So now I have to drink Chinese blablabla something that my mummy says doesn't taste good but I have to drink it anyway. Because I'm a Chinese. and well, Chinese medication is suppose to cure everything, aren't they?

It's like mixed emotions. Somewhere inside I'm happy you get to go somewhere else, to finally continue your studies. Another part is sad, but there's a part that's pulling me down from the pit of my stomach, making tears fill my eyes.

All my life, I've never slept alone. Maybe once or twice, the most probably two weeks. And during that two weeks, I'll either run to Mummy's room or make Aunty Lilia sleep with me. Well, you're gone now, and I still have the option of snuggling in with Mummy, but really. It doesn't feel the same.

I want to get mad at you for barging into the room and running into the bathroom before I can.

Ten things I love about Azfar.

1. He has a great sense of humour. He knows what a joke is, and that makes him easy to talk to and to have some fun with. Everyone loves talking to Azfar, no kid.

2. If he had to listen to me ramble about how sucky things are for a whole day, he would. He wouldn't leave me hanging, especially without some sort of solution.

3. He's a guy with curly hair. What more is there to say? Don't you love guys with curly hair? I love guys with curly hair, HAHAH.

4. He is one that can actually withstand me for years now. I don't know how he does it, I know that every single one of my friends has been highly annoyed with me at one point of time. Azfar? Well, not that I know of anyway.

But seriously, who CAN hang out with me for forever?

5. He can do whatever he puts his heart to. In other words, when he's passionate about getting something, he'll get it in the end. I don't think he'll ever let his dreams just disappear in front on him, he'll try his very best to do just about anything.

6. He is different in his own way (isn't everybody?). But he doesn't ditch doing the things he loves just because no one's doing it, he'll do anything he likes his own way, and seriously. How many people can you find like that?

7. This dude is always nice. And as his best friend, I tell him all the time that sometimes, he's TOO NICE. It's not very good to be TOO NICE, am I right? :D

8. Everyone loves Azfar because he can give you a whole different way to think through your problems (doesn't seem like the right word, but I think it is). It may not seem like a big thing, but hey. Sometimes, it helps you find your own answer, instead of asking an answer from someone else.

9. He always encourages people, no matter what, no matter who (he's TOO NICE, you see). But I guess it really does lift people up sometimes, and hey. That's a good thing, no?

10. Probably the only one that can make me smile all the time, even on a bad day.

That's why he's my best friend.

So, Nike came to my school and they say it's for a run blablabla but it's obviously to promote their stuffies. In this case their shoes.

I signed up with a bunch of friends hoping that hey, whatever it is, maybe I'll just get to do some running and who cares about the Nike's they're gonna loan us, I don't need them.

Heck, I don't need them.

But it was one of the most AMAZING (I think I've been using amazing a lot?) shoes I've ever used. We were the first school in Malaysia to ever try out their newest Lunar Glide +2 shoes, so they were all brand new.

I still do not need them.

It is okay to want them, though? Because they were absolutely comfortable and I probably felt like Forrest Gump, wanting to run all day (except a friend today kinda didn't have the stamina, so I kinda didn't run?)

Well, honestly, I didn't think that I would fall for this form of advertisement that Nike obviously so cleverly thought about. BUT I DID. I can't believe.

I do not need a pair of Lunar Glide's.

It IS pretty, though, isn't it? Especially this pink one. Heeee :D

I sent her off yesterday. It was... I don't even know what it was. And I'm trying to say something about the whole time I was there, but I can't think of any.

Ten things I'll miss about Ting Li Hui.

1. Her smile. Every morning, I'll arrive to school late as usual and she'll be there, then she'll smile and say, "HI !". Even the times when she just looked at me and not smile and say, "Hi", then stare at me for a minute, she'll jump and be excited after that and tell me what happened the night before.

Something like that.

2. Her laugh. Her laugh, it makes me laugh. And I don't know how to talk about her laugh?

3. The way she tells me about the latest gossip. HAHAH. She gets so excited, sometimes I don't know what she's talking about.

4. The way she gets all sway-y when she's talking about her crush. It's unbelievably, I don't know, cute? hahah. She's suddenly all shy and smiley, I don't thing I could even make her smile like that. Heee.

5. How she's so determined to do something. And I've never seen her fail in anything, she's just always worked hard for all that she wants. It gives me the boost to do what I want too (:

6. Her absolutely cheerful aura. She makes everyone around her smile, just by being there. There isn't one person I know that doesn't like being around her :D

7. She doesn't care what people say about her. I mean, I know that everyone says we shouldn't care either, but have you seen the way people react when they hear something bad about them going about? Li Hui doesn't even bother, she just shrugs it off. And I have no idea how she does it.

8. Her artsy nature. heheh. She could make something so plain and boring look amazingly gorgeous. And she always knows how to dress things up, so that it looks better. I won't be surprised if you're a designer one day, dear. hahah.

9. The fact that she's loyal to her friends. Even if she's somewhere else now (and without Facebook !), I know she won't forget the friends she has been with most of her school life (:

10. I'll probably just miss her presence the most. I feel absolutely lonely, without a girlfriend. And yadayadayada. There's so much to say, like, how I could never EVER get used to the idea of her not being in school not playing tennis on Wednesday's. I can't believe it, I still expect to see her there when I arrive in school and when I go for tennis, I get pumped up before because I can't wait to tell her just about everything.

I was at the edge, I wanted to cry at the airport. Seriously. But I didn't. Because, I don't know. Because I know you said that you going away isn't suppose to be a sad thing.

Somehow, it feels like I'll never see you again, and EVERY SINGLE DAY, I have to remind myself that, wth, I'll be seeing you in no time (: And I really can't wait for that day.
